Any great band needs to have a tight groove.  Getting in the groove and jamming out is what Funk Camp is all about. And it's not just about the rhythm section. If you are a horn player or have some soulful vocals and have ever wanted to take part in the popular tradition of Funk, Soul, Rhythm and Blues music, this camp is for you! Be part of a real funk band. This is a special one-week camp offered by 2 time northbay award winning funketeer, Spencer Burrows. Interested students are welcome to audition....It's going to be funk-tacular!

Together, the class will:

• catch a glimpse into the inner workings of a band
• pick up stage performance techniques
• secure their basic knowledge of music theory and fundamentals
• strengthen their playing and improvisation skills
• rehearse and perform an entire set
• learn the importance of honor and discipline in the world of music
• have a professional photo-shoot and receive your personalized Band Poster
• record a live CD, and then play one groovy, in-studio show!
• Oh yeah.. and have FUN, too!

Although these summer sessions only last for one week, the memories will last forever!
